I think I just had the most quintessential Sicilian session possible…
Happy family: Check. Classic Fiat 500: Check. Beautiful Sicilian morning: Check.
A tiny church on gorgeous farm land with a sweet and accommodating farmer: Check, check and check!
We set out to photograph the outside of this property, knowing that we would get some awesome shots of the little church in the background of the Gaudette’s with their cinquecento (Fiat 500). Part way through the session, the farmer pulled up to his property to start work for the day. We were definitely in his way, so we offered to move the car and in exchange he opened the church for us to take a peek inside. We got to chatting (our broken Italian with his zero English) and ended up being able to pull the car onto the property for some even more amazing shots. Franco then came back with some freshly picked prickly pears and served us breakfast! It was definitely an experience that we will remember forever and one of those amazing uniquely Sicilian experiences that make me thankful to have the opportunity to live here.

And of course we had to get a shot of our hero Franco!
PS: I love this car. Seriously. This custom paint job is BEAUTIFUL and one of my favorite colors. The bright cheery color perfectly fits this happy little family. Jason and MJ are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and their little stinker Madi is a riot.
