The Sikes family will be welcoming their first baby this Winter and I’m so excited to document the expansion of their family! Teresa is a nurse at the hospital on base and actually works with all of the pregnant mommas and new babies. She knows quite a few of the maternity and newborn clients I’ve had this past year and now she is one of them! 🙂 The day of Teresa’s maternity session we had our first big storm come through the area in quite some time. Rain, high winds, even reports of a tornado cast a huge shadow over the weekend and our plans for a great session. We postponed until later in the weekend until it was supposed to clear up a big, but the insane amount of rain we had caused everything to be really yucky for the next few days. We were finally able to do her portraits first thing Monday morning and had some beautiful morning light to work with. The farm was greener than ever with oranges starting to ripen and olive trees in full bloom. I could not think of a better spot for Teresa’s session than this! A sweet natural setting was perfect for this couple. I’m in love with how these images came out, especially some of the solo shots of Teresa just GLOWING! I cannot wait to photograph their little one and am totally anxious for the arrival!
