Amanda contacted me a few weeks before she would be flying to our area to visit with her husband. Danny is in the Navy and would be coming through the Sigonella area for a few days for work and Amanda was going to be able to see him for the first time since he left for deployment in the spring! The two have been separated by nearly 5000 miles for the last 6 months and were excited put deployment on pause for a few days to be together exploring Sicily. Amanda messaged me knowing that it was possible i’d be booked, as a photographer herself she knows how crazy this time of year is with holiday family sessions so she wasn’t sure if i’d have an opening for them. Luckily plans of ours had changed somewhat last minute and I was able to devote the morning to a sunrise session of these two in downtown Catania. We met at Elephant square before the sun was up and began their session, beating the crowds heading to church and the nearby market. We were able to walk down the market streets taking images of the two lovebirds while the vendors set up for the day, then wander over to the castle for images of just them as the sun peaked. I am so exctied about this session and I hope you guys love it too!
