Macklin’s parents originally booked me for a Fresh48 session (A fresh48 is essentially where I would have come to the hospital about a day after baby had arrived to photograph the family together, maybe big brother meeting the new addition, everyone all cleaned up and settling into their new life together) BUT through a little last minute change of plans and wonderful timing on Macklin’s part, I was honored to be in the room to photograph her big entrance and this beautiful new life! I’ll spare you all the details, but basically mom was a rockstar through hours of labor with epidural issues. Dad was supportive as heck and had a great playlist ready to go for his little lady’s debut. The whole DePaul hospital support staff was awesome, especially their head nurse who was like the PERFECT maternal influence to be in the room supporting Hillary & David. And Macklin is one blessed little baby to have such an awesome family welcoming her. Okay, onto the good stuff… photos!

She’s here! David did a great job cutting the cord and I definitely teared up when Hillary started crying. Such a sweet first moment together.
